Dropmagic vs AutoDS vs Storecraft: which dropshipping tool for Shopify?
Dropmagic, AutoDS and Storecraft all promise to make Shopify dropshipping easier, but they do different jobs. One designs a store around a product you already chose, one imports and manages products from many suppliers, and one builds a whole store from a description and places the supplier orders. Picking the wrong one means paying for work you still have to do by hand. Here is what each one actually does, from their own Shopify App Store listings.
Facts about each app are from its Shopify App Store listing, read on 12 October 2026. Prices and features change — check the listing before you install. Storecraft is our own app.
The short answer
- Dropmagic if you already have one product you want to sell and want a polished single-product store around it.
- AutoDS if you want the widest choice of suppliers, many products and a mature tool with a long review history.
- Storecraft if you want a whole niche store from a written description, sourced from CJ Dropshipping, with supplier orders placed for you.

Dropmagic
Dropmagic is a storefront builder. You give it a product — typically a link from a supplier or marketplace — and it generates a branded store around it: colours, fonts, icons, page sections and product copy, with a library of more than 50 conversion-focused sections and AI-generated images on the paid plan.
Good at: making one product look like a brand quickly. Keep in mind: it doesn't find products or place supplier orders for you — its listing pairs it with tools like AutoDS or DSers for that. The free plan can't publish to Shopify, so in practice it's $79 a month.
AutoDS
AutoDS is an all-round dropshipping operations tool. It imports products from a large network of suppliers, monitors their prices and stock, edits images and listings, and fulfils orders automatically. It also offers print-on-demand, a product research marketplace and courses. With more than 1,300 reviews, it's the most established of the three.
Good at: breadth — many suppliers, large catalogues, several stores. Keep in mind: plans are priced by how many products you import, and you still decide the niche, choose the products and design the store yourself.
Storecraft
Storecraft starts from a description: what you want to sell and how the store should look. It builds the store in your own Shopify account — a brand name and palette, products from CJ Dropshipping priced with shipping included (landed cost), written descriptions, collections, menus, pages and a homepage. After that, when a customer buys, it places the order with CJ and writes the tracking number back to the Shopify order. You can change the store later by asking in plain language.
Good at: going from an idea to a complete niche store, and the ordering that follows, without doing each step by hand. Keep in mind: it works with CJ Dropshipping only, and it's new — no reviews on its listing yet. You can see a demo store from your own description before signing up, which is the quickest way to judge it.
What it costs at 20 orders a month
App fees only — the products and shipping are paid to the supplier either way.
- Dropmagic: $79/month, plus a separate tool if you want orders placed for you.
- AutoDS: $26.90–$66.90/month depending on how many products you import.
- Storecraft: $80.00 on pay-as-you-sell, or $64.00 on Scale. Nothing in a month with no orders on pay-as-you-sell.
How to choose
- Do you already have your product? If yes and it's one hero product, Dropmagic fits. If you're starting from a niche idea, you need a tool that sources products.
- Which suppliers? If you need AliExpress, Amazon or many suppliers at once, AutoDS. If CJ Dropshipping suits you, Storecraft handles it end to end.
- Who places the orders? Every order needs to reach the supplier with the right address and carrier. AutoDS and Storecraft do that; with Dropmagic you add another tool or do it by hand.
